How to Set Up Payment Methods in Your InterFunnels Store

Accepting payments is the final and most critical step in the customer journey. InterFunnels supports a wide range of payment gateways, from digital processors like PayPal and Stripe to manual methods like Bank Transfer and Cash on Delivery. This guide will show you how to configure them.

Step 1: Access the Payment Settings

  1. From your main InterFunnels dashboard, look for the "SETTINGS" option in the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Within the Settings menu, click on the "PAYMENTS" tab. This is where you will manage all your payment methods.

Step 2: View and Add a Payment Method

  1. On the Payments page, you will see a section titled "PAYMENT METHODS".

  2. Select the currency in which you will accept the payment.
  3. Click the button "+ ADD PAYMENT GATEWAY METHOD" to see a list of all available payment processors.

  4. You will see a wide selection, including:

    • Digital Processors: PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.Net, Skrill, easypaisa.

    • Manual Methods: Bank Transfer, Cash on Delivery.

  5. Click on the payment method you want to set up.

Step 3: Configure Your Chosen Payment Method

Each payment gateway has its own configuration screen. Here’s how to set up the most common ones:

A. Setting Up PayPal

PayPal is one of the most popular and trusted payment methods globally.

  1. PayPal Email Address*: Enter the email address associated with your PayPal business account.

  2. Mode*: Select "Live Mode" to start accepting real payments. (Use "Sandbox" or "Test" mode only for testing with fake credentials).

  3. Default: You can mark this as your default payment method if you wish.

  4. Click "SAVE" to activate PayPal.

B. Setting Up Stripe

Stripe allows you to accept credit and debit cards directly on your website.

  1. You need to get these API keys from your Stripe dashboard (dashboard.stripe.com):

    • Publishable Key*: This is your public key.

    • Secret Key*: This is your private key—keep it secret.

    • Webhook Signing Secret: (Recommended) For enhanced security and to handle events like failed payments.

  2. Paste each key into its corresponding field in InterFunnels.

  3. Set as "Default" if desired and click "SAVE".

C. Setting Up Bank Transfer

This method allows customers to pay directly into your bank account. They will upload a payment receipt as proof.

  1. Bank Name: Enter the official name of your bank (e.g., Standard Chartered Bank).

  2. Account No: Enter your business bank account number.

  3. Account Title: The name on the bank account (must match your business name).

  4. Branch Code: Your bank branch's specific code.

  5. Click "SAVE". These details will be displayed to customers at checkout.

D. Setting Up Cash on Delivery (COD)

COD lets customers pay with cash when their physical order is delivered.

  1. Countries*: This is a crucial setting. Select the specific countries or regions where you offer Cash on Delivery service. You cannot offer COD everywhere unless you manually select all countries.

  2. Click "SAVE" to activate COD for the selected areas.

Important Notes and Best Practices

  • Required Fields: Always look for fields flagged with an asterisk (*). These are mandatory for the payment method to work.

  • Live vs. Test Mode: Always double-check that you are in "Live Mode" when you are ready to go live with your store. Test mode will not process real payments.

  • Multiple Methods: It's highly recommended to activate multiple payment options (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, and a manual method). This reduces friction at checkout and caters to different customer preferences.

  • Default Method: Choose one payment method as your "Default" to streamline the checkout process for most users.

Conclusion

By configuring your payment methods in InterFunnels, you officially open the doors for your business to receive revenue. The process is straightforward: navigate to Settings > Payments, add your preferred gateways, and enter the required API keys or details. Offering multiple trusted payment options is a best practice that will maximize your conversion rate and ensure a smooth checkout experience for every customer.
