Setting Up Pixels In Store
Pixels are small snippets of code that allow you to track visitor activity on your website. This data is crucial for measuring the effectiveness of your ads, retargeting visitors, and optimizing your sales funnels. InterFunnels provides a dedicated section to manage these pixels globally and on a per-page basis.
This guide will show you how to add a global pixel and then activate it on specific pages.
Part 1: Adding a Global Pixel
This is where you store the pixel code provided by advertising platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, TikTok, etc.
From your InterFunnels dashboard, go to SETTINGS.
Access the Pixel Settings:
In the left-hand menu, select the PIXEL tab.
View Pixel Slots:
You can access and configure "Facebook Pixels" from here also but that is discussed in a separate article
(Click here to view Facebook Pixels Setting Tutorial)
You will see a table with six available slots (PIXEL1 to PIXEL6). This allows you to add up to six different tracking pixels.
Each slot shows a Pixel Name, Pixel Code, and an EDIT button.
Edit a Pixel Slot:
- Click the EDIT button next to an empty slot (e.g., PIXEL1).
- A configuration window will pop up.
- Enter Pixel Details:
- Pixel Name*: Give your pixel a recognizable name (e.g., "Google Ads", "Facebook Retargeting").
- Pixel Code*: Paste the actual pixel code provided by your advertising platform into this field.
- Click SAVE
Confirmation:
The pixel table will now update, showing the name you provided for that slot. The code itself is hidden for security.
Your global pixel is now saved! However, it will not fire on any pages until you activate it.
Part 2: Activating a Pixel on a Specific Page
Saving a pixel globally makes it available to use, but you must decide which specific pages should trigger it.
Access Page Options:
- Navigate to your store's pages under THEMES.
- Hover over the page where you want the pixel to fire
Activate the Pixel:
You will see a list of all the global pixels you've configured (e.g., "GOOGLE").
- Simply toggle the switch from OFF to ON for the pixel you want to fire when this page loads.
- Click SAVE.
Confirmation:
You will see a success message: "PIXELS SETTING HAS BEEN SAVED SUCCESSFULLY".
Key Use Case Example
Goal: Track a "Purchase" conversion for a Google Ads campaign.
Action:
- Add your Google Ads conversion pixel code to a global slot (e.g., PIXEL1) and name it "Google Purchase".
- Go to the OPTIONS > PIXELS tab for your "Order Confirmation" or "Thank You" page.
- Toggle the "Google Purchase" pixel ON for that page.
Now, every time a customer reaches the confirmation page after buying, the pixel will fire and record the conversion in your Google Ads account.
Conclusion
The InterFunnels pixel system is powerful and straightforward:
-
Store your pixel codes globally in the Settings > Pixel section.
-
Activate them on specific pages via the Page Options > Pixels tab.
This two-step process gives you precise control over your tracking, allowing you to measure page views, leads, purchases, and other valuable customer actions across your entire sales funnel.
